While it’s something that every kid looks forward to as soon as they come back from winter break, we know how tough that week off of school can be on parents.
Well, no need to worry!
We’ve put together a list of camps that can keep your kids busy! These camps are educational, unique, and all around awesome, so be sure to sign your child up ASAP!
April 15-19 | 7:30 AM – 6 PM | icrc.net
Seven Oaks Park – 200 Leisure Lane | Crooked Creek Park – 1098 Old Lexington Highway
This camp, hosted by the Irmo-Chapin Recreation Commission, will be held both indoors and outdoors at two of the commission’s parks! Campers will participate in different daily activities, and get to go on field trips throughout the week!
The camp accepts children from grades K5 – 6.
April 15-19 | 9 AM – 3 PM | edventure.org
EdVenture Children’s Museum – 211 Gervais Street
Calling all chefs, scientists, makers, and more! This Spring Break, Edventure has broken-up their offerings so each age group gets to try a taste of EdVenture. Not only will campers get to explore the museum, but they will also have a chance to experience a wide variety of EdVenture’s programs!
Each day will be dedicated to either cooking up healthy treats, making artistic creations, engineering solutions to design problems, developing skills with new technologies, or experimenting with science!
The camp is open to kids ages 4-12! Hurry! Space is limited.
April 15-18 | 9 AM – Noon
Columbia Art Center – 1227 Taylor Street
The theme this year is “Hop into Spring”. Children are invited to participate in this activity-filled four day mixed media art experience. Instructors will include lessons in pottery, drawing, and painting!
Please provide children with a snack. All materials are included with the registration, but hurry! The deadline is April 1.
This camp is open for children ages 5 – 12.
