BBB Serving Central SC and Charleston presents the Business of the Year Torch Award each year to companies who exemplify ethical behavior and display integrity in all aspects of their operations. The Torch Awards are open to all for-profit businesses located within the Midlands and Lowcountry regions. Nominees are offered the opportunity to submit an entry to the BBB, where a panel of judges from SCORE review the entries and choose the winners. SCORE’s mission is to foster vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education. BBB Serving Central SC and Charleston was looking for a way to give back and support local charities in our communities. Businesses were asked to nominate their favorite charity. Voting was then calculated by how many likes and shares the charity received via the BBB Facebook Page. The winning charity
received a $500.00 donation from BBB. We would like to thank ou Accredited Businesses who made the donation to Charleston Animal Society possible.
