Six pavilions will be built on these concrete pads to give families and recruits a place to celebrate graduation.

Building Industry Association Provides Six Pavilions for Fort Jackson

To help Fort Jackson celebrate its 100 year anniversary, the Building Industry Association of Central South Carolina, (BIA) will gift six pavilions to the Fort’s new Centennial Park. This project partnership with the Building Industry Charitable Foundation will provide meeting places for the thousands of graduating trainees and their families who gather at the Fort almost every week. In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Fort, The Gateway to the Army Association is constructing a park that will house the pavilions.

Graduations take place 47 out of 52 weeks a year at Fort Jackson without much space for celebrations and reunions to occur. BIA members Covert Homes, Essex Homes, Great Southern Homes, Hood Construction and Mungo Homes agreed to solve this problem with the construction of six covered pavilions.

That’s great, BIA! Thanks a bunch!
