A trip to Aiken means getting outdoors, experiencing history, meandering through beautiful parks and bustling shopping.

Lancaster

Distance from Columbia: 61 Miles

With an emphasis on local artists, county-wide historic sites, and their own Performing Arts Series, See Lancaster SC, the city of Lancaster is creating a destination for the enjoyment of small town charm and southern hospitality.

Mount Pleasant

Distance from Columbia: 117 Miles Away

One trip to Mount Pleasant is never enough. You need time to stroll down paths shaded by century-old oak trees. You have to travel to the past and visit military vessels, historic homes and Revolutionary War sites. And if there’s time, you must explore the creeks atop paddleboards or kayaks.

Distance from Columbia: 30 Miles Away

How would you like to take your children or grandchildren for a ride on a real passenger train, visit a red caboose, an authentic dining car or even a Pullman car that once ferried earlier generations across the country? Come spend an afternoon at the South Carolina Railroad Museum in Winnsboro. There’s something for everyone! And best of all, you can ride the train.
